This is our current garden: carrots, radishes, leeks, onions, potatoes and spinach. The plants that are growing from seeds are the carrots, radishes and the last four rows of spinach.
We planted leeks, onions and spinach that we bought at Primex today for $9. We also planted two onions (the first two on the row) and three potato eyes that we never ate and that were beginning to sprout. We also planted four rows of spinach seeds.
Last weekend, we planted carrots and radishes. The radishes have already started appearing!
We still have several weeks until the threat of frost is gone. All of these plants will tolerate the frost (the spinach will love it!). Once the frost threat is gone, all of the vegetables will be ready, or almost ready to harvest. Then will come the summer crops...peas, green beans, tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant, zucchini, cabbage, bell peppers and basil. Any suggestions welcome!!!

Last weekend - April 10th and 11th - We put in the fence and planted radishes and carrots

Two girls, two dogs, one garden....who will come out victorious?

Julia and I have started our first vegertable garden. We have limited knowledge and limited supplies; but with the help(?) of our dogs Shadow and Cooper, we will try to feed ourselves the old fashion way...by growing it ourselves.
